Background
China, also known as the People's Republic of China (PRC) is a single party state governed by the Chinese Communist Party in East Asia. China has the largest population in the world, with a population density of 145 people per km2 (Barry, 2011) and is the second largest country by land area. The population of China is estimated at 1,400, 246, 952 as of April, 2015 (Worldometers, 2015) and it's population is equivalent to 19.24% of the total world population. 54% of China's population is urban with about 756,300,115 people (as of 2014) living in the city area, like Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing. China also has two mostly self governing special administrative regions, namely Macau and Hong Kong.
